All the main shops, bars and restaurants are based around this area. The resort isn’t short of money either and a few well know celebrities own places here and holiday in the resort. It is a very lively resort and known for bringing in the Nuevo rich clientele. This gives the village a very cosmopolitan feel and has a wide range of choices for food. There is pretty much a restaurant from every main food type, and within that is a range of prices and quality. This means a small walk around and you will almost certainly find something to suit your taste buds.
Anzère lies on a sunny terrace at 1,500m above the Rhône Valley, only 15kms from Sion, the capital of the canton. Thanks to its favoured location, Anzère quickly grew to become a modern but compact holiday village. The surrounding countryside is dotted with alpine huts, usually built in stone or timber toasted a rich brown by the sun.
The resort is a fusion of the two centres of Crans and Montana. Crans-Montana combines all the comforts of a modern holiday resort with a huge natural landscape with panoramic views of the Valais Alps. The new side to Crans-Montana offers the biggest alpine shopping centre in the Alps. It also boasts a renowned cultural and congress centre and a wide range of great accommodation. It is located on a plateau above Sierre allowing huge views over the Valais Alps and Weisshorn in particular.
Bellwald lies on a beautiful and sunny spot in the Valais Alps at 1,600m. Active guests will be delighted with the large sport and cultural offer. The impressive scenery and the surrounding summits offer extensive activities in all seasons.
As a village, Zermatt has it all. Based at 1,620m it has the most iconic mountain in the world as a backdrop, a massive, high-altitude international ski area, some of the best mountain restaurants in the world and a traditional Swiss chocolate-box, fuel car-free village. Zermatt boasts the name of one of the best winter resorts in the world and delivers in every respect. The village itself has a mix of rustic old wooden Stadels and Grand Luxury hotels. The main street is fully traffic free, except the occasional horse drawn carriage and is packed with lively bars, restaurants and shops. At any time of the day, there’s an amazing atmosphere across the entire resort.
