Even if you are not a ski or snowboarding fan, you can still enjoy our winter landscape taking a scenic walk or on a snowshoe tour. A tip for families: Hike from Tschamut to Milez, the mountain station of the Sedrun ski area. Enjoy a snack at Milez restaurant and take the sled down to Dieni.

Near the pass road at Tschamutt, you will see a small igloo village from January on. Feel free to build up the ice-block stacks, stay overnight in Eskimo-style, or simply stop by to take a curious look.

Eating Out

What could be better than enjoying fine food in good company? Have you tried the Graubünden specialities such as „Capuns“ or „Maluns“? A delicious platter of local meats and Alpine cheese provides the perfect culmination to any day. And if you fancy a night out in Sedrun, then you have a wide choice of fantastic bars and outstanding restaurants where locals and guests come together to enjoy many evenings.

Sedrun is synonymous with hospitality. Whether you choose to pause in a traditional Graubünden parlour or a mountain eatery, the cosy „ustrias“ (Romansh for restaurant) offer a variety of local delicacies including the famous Sursilvaner Capuns (sausages wrapped in Swiss chard leaves). Mountain Restaurants

Sedrun & Andermatt have small mountain restaurants spread across the different areas. As like the restaurants in the village the food is normally good and the prices are very reasonable. The village also includes restaurants in the beginner’s area which have a terrace for sunny days are perfect for the first time skiers.

Sedrun-Oberalp Enjoy Flying High

Andermatt-Sedrun SkiArena boasts 125 km of perfectly groomed ski trails, snowmaking systems guarantee snow on 50 km. 20 lift facilities connect the ski resorts of Gemsstock, Nätschen and Sedrun-Oberalp. Freestyle skiers will love this resort: Terrain Park with halfpipe at the Sedrun Tegia Gronda lift and a Terrain Park at Gemsstock in Andermatt. SnowNight Sedrun allows skiing or tobogganing until 10pm on floodlit slopes. The local huts such as the Mountain Restaurant Milez or bars and lounges such as the Himalaya Bar serve traditional delicacies and offer lots of après ski fun. Tobogganing runs, about 140 km of cross-country trails, many winter hiking routes and snow shoe trails complete the offer suitable for all ages. Freestylers love the park at the Tegia Gronda lift. Situated between 2000m & 2300m it is perfectly placed, sunny, and offers a spectacular view out over the Tujetsch Valley. Well shaped elements and large kickers, boxes and rails all challenge the riders. Ski cross and Boardercross fans have their own winter fun in Sedrun’s 800m Crosspark. The course is amazing, with rollers, tables, jumps and 5 steep turns to challenge the best.

There is around 40km of black runs, 60km of Red runs, and 30km of Red runs.

Every ski pass includes skiing in the neighbouring area of Andermatt, as well as free travel with the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn to Sedrun, Disentis, Realp and Niederwald (valley of Goms). At the baths in Sedrun you will receive a 20% reduction on the entry fee.
